Regarding Voluntarily Return of the ISO14001 Certification of Nara plant

We, Taihei Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. Nara Plant voluntarily returned our ISO14001: 2015 environmental management system certification as of March 31, 2024, and decided to shift our environmental measures and initiatives to voluntary operation.

Since obtaining the ISO14001 Certification on September 12, 2002, we have been operating environmental management system and worked on environmental practice for over 19 years.

As a result, our employees’ awareness of environmental practice increased, and we have established a system to maintain and improve our environmental practice through operation of environmental management system over many years and continuous improvement. Considering the cost savings in maintaining certification and support services, we have decided to voluntarily return our ISO14001 certification.

We will continue to strive to improve environmental practice continuously and reduce environmental burden by using our knowledge acquired from the ISO14001 management approach.
